Fall Is the Time to Start a Photo Project

I love the start of a new school year. It can be a great time to get started with a new (or past) routine. What do you want to accomplish this Fall? Why not plot out and schedule your autumn project with the help of a friend or guide? A couple of years ago a friend of mine (and now customer) told me she wanted to meet with me once the school year began (she has 2 teenagers) to discuss some photo projects she had in mind. I called her when the school year started and we met to make a plan. She had several projects in mind including a couple of baby books and a wedding album. I asked her this question: “If you could have any one photo album completed and on your coffee table to share and enjoy by Christmas, what would that album be?” My friend decided she wanted to start by making a baby album for her oldest daughter. She hired me as her personal photo coach and we scheduled some dates and got to work. She was SO excited. She had a plan and could imagine the end result in her head.
What album would you want finished and on your desk or coffee table for YOU to appreciate and show off? Maybe it’s the summer vacation you just took, or a photo album celebrating a loved one’s milestone birthday. Or do you have a teenaged son or daughter’s baby album that you’d like to finish complete with their story?
Just like we need to make time for working on our own personal fitness, doing a budget, fitting in volunteering for school or church, it is also important to work on and complete other projects which will bring us satisfaction. Like putting together a photo album that tells a story of something or someone important to us. This type of project can also be considered taking care of ourselves.
The start of a school year is kind of like the beginning of a new year. What is your Fall resolution?

I needed to see this today. Thank you. I love photos and take so many but sadly so few end up in scrap books! Any way to add recourse links and some links to sale with scrap products?
Good idea Fran! My daughter is turning 16 this year and I have yet to complete any type of scrapbook for her. What do you recommend for a "novice" to put together that wouldn't be overwhelming?
thanks! Katy
Hi Kimberly. You can check out www.creativememories.com for latest and greatest scrapbooking products or go directly to my website www.mycmsite.com/fdurivage. Let me know if I can help you further. Hi to Katy. I just completed a couple of YOU TUBE videos for Mywellbeing.com on just that subject. When they are available I will let readers know. In the meantime I would suggest using a quick album like the one I described in this article. Thanks for your comments!
